Casablanca hosts for the second consecutive year, the Quicksilver Pro Surf competition. This will take place from the 13th to the 18th of September. Organized by the World Surf League (WSL) and the Moroccan Royal Federation of Surfing (FRMS), Morocco confirms its willingness to enroll in the circle of nations large surf.
Surfing is becoming more popular in Morocco, not only by tourism (mainly French, American or Australian) but also from their own local people. In Casablanca there are two major schools of the region and with very economic prices.
This discipline promotes actions to protect the beaches and the environment, and also social activities: Schools offer free courses for disadvantaged children to keep them away from bad company, drugs and leave, and why not, making them future champions.
